2023年中考英語：時間狀語從句詳解

用表示時間的連詞連接一個句子作狀語，這樣的主從復(fù)合句就是時間狀語從句。連接時間狀語從句的連接詞有:when, before, after, while, as soon as, until, since...... 這里要注意一點(diǎn)的是，如果主句是

主要時態(tài)

時間狀語從句常見連詞用法：

since

意為“自從；自……以來”，主句常用一般現(xiàn)在時或現(xiàn)在完成時，從句常用一般過去時。 例如： I have worked in this company since I graduated from university. 我從大學(xué)畢業(yè)后就在這家公司工作。 before 意為“在……之前”。 例如：

She wants to see youbeforeyou go.

她想在你走之前見見你。

after

意為“在……之后”。

例如：

You need to brush your teeth after eating to have good teeth.

為了牙齒健康，你吃完東西應(yīng)該刷牙。

till/until

意為“直到……為止”，常用于“not...until...”結(jié)構(gòu)中，表示“直到……才……”。

例如：

I’m really tired because I studied until midnight last night.

我非常累，因為我昨晚學(xué)習(xí)到了半夜

as

(1)意為“當(dāng)……的時候”。

例如：

Asyou go along the river, the London Eye is on your right.

當(dāng)你沿著河邊走的時候，倫敦眼就在你的右邊。

(2)意為“隨著”。

例如：

As you get older, I think it is important not to depend on your parents for everything but to learn to look after yourself.

隨著你長大，我認(rèn)為不要一切都依靠你的父母而要學(xué)會照顧自己是重要的。

while

意為“當(dāng)……時，在……時”，引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句的謂語動詞常用延續(xù)性動詞或表示狀態(tài)的動詞。

例如：

While Linda was sleeping, Jenny was helping Mary with her homework.

當(dāng)琳達(dá)睡覺時，珍妮正在幫瑪麗完成作業(yè)。

when

意為“當(dāng)……時”，引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句的謂語動詞既可以是延續(xù)性動詞，也可以是瞬間性動詞。

例如：

I feel very happy when you come to see me.

你們來看我，我感到非常開心。

as soon as

意為“一……就……”，引導(dǎo)的時間狀語從句常用一般現(xiàn)在時表示將來。

例如：

My mom came over as soon as I sat down in front of the TV.

我一坐在電視前面，我媽媽就過來了。
