As soon as you walk into Marmi Butchkoski's backyard,seashells of all shapes and sizes can
be found almost everywhere.
“ 1 I was a kid, I've never walked by a good shell,"said Butchkoski as she looked at her pick-up from the shores of Long Beach
Butchkoski has been 2 for over 20 years, but her art took a backseat(次要位置) after she met her husband and pursued a different career. However, after the unexpected 3 of her brother from cancer .Butchkoski took it up again to deal with the pain. The idea to paint the shells came from a 4 birthday gift. Soon enough,more and more people 5 asking her for custom-made(定制的）shells. That is when Butchkoski created Art By Marni B.
“It makes me feel 6 ,”said Butchkoski. “I'm focusing on what is in front of me while 7 I can be overthinking things. I am so pleased with my painting. I'm focused on what I'm doing, and I 8 in that.”
Her hand-made seashells have 9 hundreds of homes,and the orders keep on coming with every picture she posts on her social media(社交媒體) page. It has the 10 shells she has worked on for her custom orders.
"You have an 11 , an imagination, you give it to me,and I create art in the seashell,"said Butchkoski.
Butchkoski 12 her business out of her home.Her studio(工作室)is filled with paintbrushes of all sizes,all kinds of colors to choose from,and a picture of her brother surfing 13 proudly right above where she works.
